The right hand nut on belay is very close to end of threads. If you are next up there I would suggest taking a spanner to tighten. Maybe a spanner is good addition to rack when climbing sports routes as found a few loose or missing nuts, I will in future!! 2/9/10

Did this today as a warm-up. Very nice climbing but the most ridiculous bolting - why purposely turn what is just a very nice sport 6a, which gives folk a good intro to some slightly harder slate moves, into a gripper clipper for shorties? - the bolt above the niche, just stupid. 'If you're gonna make a sport route, make a sport route' :)

Re the comment 'There is ok "slate" pro to make it safe enough and I think the bolts should be pulled.'
There may have been 'enough' before but the voting of the feet is clear enough. It's probably seen more traffic this year than it has since the FA. I know its 'purity' has been spoiled, but in a good way. Feel free to spurn the clips and leave it as an attractive accessible clip up, there's more than enough head trips left. |
