Hello Slate nerds.
This route name has been bothering me for months, and I thought I'd better say something before the guide goes to press.
I've seen the name spelled in many different ways, but I think the correct spelling should be Il Miglior Fabbro, which is the phrase that TS Eliot used when dedicating The Waste Land to Ezra Pound (the phrase means "the better craftsman").
Obviously if it means something else, I'm going to look like a proper chimp.

T.S. ELLIOT WAS SHITE!!!! The Waste Land should be re-titled "Waste of Ink!" He was a sad, miserable doom and gloom merchant!! I wasted 8 weeks of my summer term in 6th form at school back in 1981 studying the boring ol' git!! (ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz!) Maybe you should re-name the route and choose a witty line from a Pam Eyres poem intead!! I'm sure she did a poem that featured a chimp once? anon. jim.
