The abseil point has been replaced as has the lower off/belay on the prow on top of Poetry Pink. All bolts replaced bolt for bolt.
Bungles Arete F8b. Most of the bolts have been replaced, the only only left to replace need drilling out because there is nowhere esle for it to go. 1/07

This route had a rave review form Noel Craine. Thought I'd do it again having put the effort in to re-bolt it. Really enjoyed it, thought it was fantastic in-fact. 21 yrs after making the first ascent! First pitch felt more like 5b but second pitch hard work, I wondered if it might be E4 with the new bolts but still felt like E5 to me, probabaly bottom end though, get on it!

I've just been on slipstream today.. and for any on-sight merchants who are have the route in mind- the slot for gear at "10m" -more like 6m- that the guide mentions is now moss free., so get involved!

Having done the start of this route recently, it felt considerably bolder since the top RP placement blew. I may now be worth E6, or at least and extra half a grade.
Or I could be considerably, older, fatter, weaker and less bold since I last climbed it? |
